1. STAIRS/HILLS

You have to walk up a flight of stairs or some sort of hill to go just about anywhere on campus. At least those calves are getting a good workout, right?

2. CAMPUS WILDLIFE 

While we do have an array of wildlife on campus (like this trio of ducks below), we all know the squirrels take the cake for being the most seen around campus. They’re everywhere!


3. HOMECOMING TRADITIONS 

During Homecoming Week students take part in events like the Soap Box Derby, Homecoming Step Show and the Homecoming Football game.

4. GRADUATION TRADITIONS

Do you plan on jumping in the river after your graduation ceremony? Be sure to bring a towel if you do!


5. SEWELL PARK

Created in 1917, Sewell Park has grown to a six-acre park that has become a favorite hang-out for students.

Bobcat Build is the second-largest one-day community service event in the state!


 8. THE QUAD

Also known as the heart of campus. Just about every student has passed through the Quad to get to class at some point during their time at Texas State.

It might be a tough walk from one side of campus to the other one, but at least it’s a pretty one!
